Pet Intros, Always a tricky thing

Okay, Jake & Lily, I want you to meet someone:

' 'Sup, Dawgs. You can call me Sasha.'

"WTF?!"

'Please don't eat me!'

'I'm so cute, and I'm even hypoallergenic so Wisdaughter can hold me and pet me and she won't tear up and get all puffy and sneezy. Do you think we can be friends?'

@if: we've almost always had both dogs and cats in the H. household. love 'em both. this is the first time we've intro'd a new cat. the pups were always the noobs. so, we're taking it cool and easy.

@RG: see above. minimize drama, supervise intros and interactions, don't let jealousies fester, make sure everyone is well fed, jake is a natural herder: so, he'll herd anyone we bring in, he's cool that way; lily is a hound and she'll hound any little critter, way too intense, so we keep a hand on her and let her look at the cat behaving for long periods of time, bring 'em close but under control, feed 'em right next to each other with a baby gate in the doorway b/w. stuff like that.
